Graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law.
Started practicing law in 1983 and founded Ensar Law Firm in 1985.
He took part in the July 15 coup cases.
He was a founding member of Istanbul Bar Association No. 2 and a delegate of TBB.
Civil Society and other activities
He served as the 23rd Term Konya MP between 2007-2011.
He is a founding member of the International Union of Jurists and the Union of Civil Society Organizations of the Islamic World. He is a member of the Lawyers Association, founded in 1970, and served as its General President between 2000-2007. As the President of the Lawyers Association, he participated in activities and meetings as a member of the Prime Ministry Human Rights Advisory Board.
On behalf of the Lawyers Association, he participated in the Human Dimension meetings organized by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Brussels and Warsaw on the subject of "Fighting Against Discrimination and Intolerance" and presented reports at the meeting (OSCE).
His articles on law and human rights and the functioning of the judiciary have been published in various newspapers and magazines. He was the President of the Bozkırlılar Foundation. He has two published books.
He is originally from Konya Bozkır. He is married with 3 children.
